Many aspects of the wedding and special events world have changed, and continue to do so. But the desire newly engaged couples have to begin their life together in the way they’ve always imagined remains the same.

For many industries, those who manage all the details for these special occasions have had to pivot and stay flexible. This constantly changing environment has empowered couples with one of the most essential skills for a successful marriage, compromise. Whether they had to reschedule their event, change location or downsize their guest list, love has proven to carry on.

Planning a wedding has many challenges along the way, and keeping up with the evolving circumstances of the pandemic has greatly complicated things. Couples are faced with new concerns for their event, such as following health and safety guidelines, limiting guest counts, and the need for an outdoor space that offers all the comforts of the indoors.

As couples have modified their plans, new trends have evolved. Micro weddings, accommodating 50 guests or less, have become popular. Sequel weddings are being arranged as a way to re-celebrate with friends and family after eloping. And the pent-up demand has resulted in more weekday events. Overall, couples are planning their weddings with more intention, including personalized details and a greater focus on the ceremony.

One option for those seeking the ideal country club wedding is The Club at ArrowCreek, with its unparalleled views, exquisite in-house cuisine, and top talent in hospitality. Nestled high in the hills of southwest Reno, the Club at ArrowCreek’s upscale and stunning spaces offer panoramic views of the Reno city skyline and Sierra Nevada mountains – the perfect backdrop for beautiful and memorable wedding photos.

“Many couples have had to rework their visions of a destination wedding,” said Andy Bomberger, CPCE, director of event sales. “The Club at ArrowCreek is located just enough beyond the city to create the feel of being transported to another destination.”

Bomberger and The Club’s event professionals have decades of experience in event planning and execution to support couples in coordinating every detail of their special day.

“We offer endless possibilities in creating the aesthetic, mood, and elements you’ve always dreamed of,” said Bomberger. “Throughout the whole process we remain focused on health and safety, while maintaining the elegance our customers are looking for.”

There are also some exciting changes underway. A $60 million renovation is set to be completed this winter, when the club introduces its brand-new venue, The Vista. This 4,000-square-foot hall can accommodate as many as 250 guests, and is easily divided for groups of 100 or less. Retractable glass doors open on either side for unobstructed views, creating a beautifully open and flowing space.

Renovations to the new event center also include a lavish new bridal lounge, coat check room, movable dance floor, tables, chairs and a variety of catering-related rentals all setup by dedicated event staff.

Also available is The Pavilion, a 13,000-square-foot outdoor gathering space with 360-degree views and a lighted grand tent that’s perfect for weddings.

Though the club is private, all the event spaces are open to the public. The Club at ArrowCreek is all-inclusive and provides a space for every type of event. More intimate gatherings can be held in the private dining room, which offers restaurant or catered menu options, and opens to the lush courtyard garden. Ideal for business meetings, holiday parties, luncheons, cocktail receptions and more.

“Although we can’t predict what’s to come next month, let alone next year, we expect to see some of the busiest times for weddings and social events moving forward,” said Bomberger. “We’re encouraging those who wish to plan their events to look ahead and reserve now as groups are booking well into 2022.”
Bomberger knows first-hand just how much goes into creating a couple’s wedding day or curating the perfect event.

“When you book your gathering at The Club at ArrowCreek, we’ll guide you every step of the way,” he said. “Take comfort in knowing you can host the event you’ve been dreaming of. Imagine an effortless wedding, in a remarkable setting, where every detail comes together perfectly in the end. The impressive views, the ambiance, the food and the memories. An event to cherish for a lifetime. Let us help create the best day of your life.”
