Albright & Associates, Ltd, Certified Public Accountants celebrated 45 years in business on Sept. 24 by hosting over 150 clients and friends its office complex at 1025 Ridgeview Drive in Reno.

Albright & Associates was started in 1976 by Deane Albright, who had worked the prior five years for national accounting firm Grant Thornton.

Albright & Associates now consists of 18 people: three partners (Deane Albright, Travis Clark, and Eric Kronawetter) and 15 professional staff specializing in all areas of accounting; certified audits; individual, corporate, partnership, estate and trust taxation; qualified retirement plans; and financial and tax planning.

At the Sept. 24 event, Albright commented that, like the city slogan of Reno being “The Biggest Little City in the world,” Albright & Associates could be described as, “The Biggest Little accounting firm in Reno.”

“During the past 45 years the firm has had a front row seat as advisors and financial consultants to many of the local entrepreneurs who have pioneered this amazing growth and transitioned the city from gaming and entertainment as the primary industry,” according to a press release. “Our city has now diversified into a much broader economic base, which still includes gaming as an integral part; however, it now includes healthcare, entrepreneurial startups and technology-based industries.

“… The past 45 years have been truly satisfying and rewarding. The firm is continuing to maintain its current expertise concerning the issues unique to the new industries moving to the area and looks forward to providing tax and accounting services for another 45 years.”
