People: Pam Puckett new executive director of Saint Mary’s Health Plans

Saint Mary’s Health Network recently welcomed Pam Puckett, MHA, as new Executive Director of Saint Mary’s Health Plans, effective Sept. 27.


Puckett, whose career started more than 25 years ago at Saint Mary’s Health Plans, most recently worked at Carson Tahoe Health, where she served as Vice President of Ambulatory Care Network from 2017 to 2021, according to a Sept. 20 press release.


Previously, she held a variety of leadership roles in other local health plans in Northern Nevada, including Hometown Health and CDS Group Health.

“We are excited to have Pam return to Saint Mary’s and lead our health plans division,” said Tiffany Coury, CEO for Saint Mary’s Health Network, in a statement. “Her commitment to transforming the lives of members will have a positive impact on our community.”

As the executive director, Puckett will lead all strategic aspects and overall operations of the health plan products offered by Saint Mary’s Health Plans, with the goal of driving sustainable growth and diversification.

It’s an exciting time in healthcare, and we are happy to be able to deliver affordable, comprehensive health plans’ solution focused on quality,” Puckett said in a statement. “Saint Mary’s has a 113-year history of taking care of our communities, and as a member of Saint Mary’s Health Plans, this ensures access to the same great care our community has come to know and trust.”

Puckett received a Master of Science in Health Administration degree from the University of St. Francis and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Nevada, Reno.
