At the 2021 Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas in early October, the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers presented the 2021 Peter Mead Memorial Award Honoring Excellence in Gaming Media & Communications to Alan Feldman, chair of the State of Nevada Advisory Committee on Problem Gambling.

“It is a humbling honor to be chosen as a recipient for this award,” Feldman said in a statement. “I’ve had the joy of working with incredible people who challenge the status quo and commit to high standards of excellence in the gaming industry.

"I’m especially proud to have been recognized for advocating for responsible and ethical best practices in helping people who struggle with problem gambling.”

With more than 32 years of experience, Feldman serves as chairman of the International Center for Responsible Gaming, per an Oct 13 press release. He also is a distinguished fellow in responsible gaming for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas International Gaming Institute, and is a senior advisor for MGM Resorts International.

He is on the faculty for the International Executive Development Program at the University of Nevada, Reno and acts as a board affairs advisor to the Macau Gaming Management Association.
