Newmark Group, Inc., recently announced the promotion of Kevin McCabe, a 35-year commercial real estate veteran, to the role of president for the firm’s Western Region, which includes business dealings in Reno-Sparks.
McCabe previously served as Executive Vice President and Regional Managing Director.
“Kevin has proved himself a creative, decisive and forward-thinking leader, both on behalf of our clients and within our organization,” Newmark Chief Revenue Officer Lou Alvarado said in an Oct. 6 statement. “He has played an instrumental role in guiding Newmark’s growth in the U.S. and throughout Latin America, and we are excited that he will be bringing his expertise to this expanded role.” Previously, McCabe led performance for the Newmark’s Central Region, and he also provided oversight to 15 international offices spanning Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Puerto Rico. “It has been incredibly gratifying to grow the Newmark platform domestically and internationally, and to simultaneously grow as a professional through my 10 years with the company,” McCabe said in a statement. “I’m eagerly looking forward to the next chapter of growth for Newmark, particularly as we invest in new technologies, service offerings and the recruitment of leading experts to our platform.”
Nick Wood
Newmark also announced Oct. 12 that Nick Wood has been named Executive Vice President, Head of Industrial & Logistics Services. In his role, Wood will be responsible for strategic direction of the firm’s industrial business. Wood, who joined Newmark in 2002, will continue his role as Market Leader of the Salt Lake City region, as well as the Reno and Boise markets. “I am excited to expand my role to lead Newmark’s Industrial & Logistics business line and have the opportunity to work alongside our best-in-class professionals across our platform to enhance client offerings and capabilities,” Wood stated. “Newmark offers the resources, analytics and expertise to help clients navigate and adapt to the ever-changing landscape of industrial and logistics from manufacturing, distribution and cold storage to supply chain networks, retail and e-commerce.” Wood has an extensive real estate background with experience spanning nearly two decades. He has earned numerous awards and is named among Utah Business Magazine’s Forty Under Forty honorees. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Weber State University.
