The Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce is hosting the second of two job fairs this year at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center on Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
More that 30 businesses and organizations will be on hand, including Washoe County School District, SaveMart, Buffalo Wild Wings, Absolute Dental, Grifols Biomat and Cintas, among others, according to an Aug. 26 press release from the Chamber.
“All job seekers are welcome to attend and can expect opportunities to apply for multiple positions, with some companies conducting interviews and hiring on-the-spot,” per the release, which notes that additional pandemic-related federal unemployment benefits are set to expire Sept. 6.
“Businesses throughout the community are in dire need of ready-to-work individuals for full or part-time jobs,” Chamber CEO Ann Silver said in a statement. “Our economy can’t sustain itself without those willing to learn, work and pursue careers.”
At its June job fair, the Chamber hosted more than 100 businesses and a few hundred job seekers.
