Lewis Roca announced Aug. 20 that 16 of its Nevada attorneys were included in The Best Lawyers in America 2022 edition, three of whom work in the Reno branch: Paul A. Matteoni, E. Leif Reid and Nicole Scott.
Matteoni and Reid made the Best Lawyers in America list for the areas of Construction Law and Commercial Litigation, Litigation - Real Estate, respectively, while Scott made the “Ones to Watch” list.
Matteoni, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, is Immediate Past President, 2020-present, of the State Bar of Nevada, and is a member of the State Bar of Nevada, Board of Governors, 2010-present. He earned his J.D. from the Santa Clara University School of Law.
Reid, a partner in the firm’s Regulatory and Government Practice Group, focuses on complex business litigation and contested development matters. Prior to founding Lewis Roca's Reno office, Reid was a partner at the Lionel Sawyer & Collins law firm. He received his J.D. from Stanford Law School.
Scott is a litigator, focusing her practice within the alcohol beverage industry and other complex litigation matters. She also practices in the area of healthcare. She earned her J.D. from the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law.
Since it was first published in 1983, the annual Best Lawyers list has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Best Lawyers lists are compiled “based on an exhaustive peer-review evaluation,” according to the directory’s website. Almost 87,000 industry leading lawyers are eligible to vote. The 2022 publication analyzed 8.3 million nominations; 62,000 lawyers were chosen.
