Nicole Berwager and Russ Ristine were elected this month to the board of directors of NCET.

Berwager, elected as vice president of membership and event services for lunches, works as sales and event manager at Official ASM Global, the company that manages the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, Reno Events Center, National Bowling Stadium and Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center, according to an NCET press release.

She previously held sales and management positions with Vail Resorts and American Eagle Outfitters Inc. and has worked for artist-management companies. She earned an associate degree in liberal arts from Santa Barbara City College and a bachelor’s in mass communications and media studies from Arizona State University.

Ristine, elected as vice president of event services for Tech Wednesday, recently retired from a career of nearly 40 years in the implementation of central-system technology in the gaming industry. He also worked extensively as a consultant on gaming technology for the Gaming Standards Association. Ristine earned a bachelor’s in biology from the University of Delaware.

“With their track record of professional success and enthusiasm for the mission of NCET, Nicole and Russ are valuable additions to our board,” Dave Archer, president and CEO of the nonprofit, said in a statement. “Our members appreciate their commitment to NCET.”
