Industrial Security Solutions, a leading supplier of retail loss prevention systems for nationally prominent retailers, has purchased property at 543 Vista Blvd., in Sparks.
The purchase is part of the company’s relocation process from California to Nevada in an effort to find a more “business friendly” environment and offer a higher quality of life to its employees.

Financing for the $1.88 million deal was facilitated by Nevada State Development Corp., in conjunction with Meadows Bank.

Industrial Security Solutions supplies Acousto Magnetic and Radio Frequency retail security tags, Electronic Article Surveillance systems, labels and detachers, and offers custom closed circuit TV and EAS system installation services for retailers nationwide.
EAS systems sold by ISS are designed to help retailers increase their sales and profits by reducing shoplifting and increasing open merchandising opportunities. Comprised of detection systems at the checkout or exit of a store, the systems work with small AM or RF electronic tags or labels that are affixed to merchandise. The tags or labels are either deactivated or removed at the point of purchase. If merchandise is removed from the store with an active label or tag still applied, an alarm will sound, alerting the sales associates.

The company’s most recently patented security system is for securing Yeti tumblers, expensive mugs that retail between $30 and $50. This item is often cited as stolen by retailers, including sometimes just the theft of the lid. This happens because lids can often be misplaced and instead of spending $30 to $50 for a whole new tumbler, theft of the lid is attempted. ISS patented a security device that prevents the theft of the Yeti tumbler and moreover prevents lid theft as well.

Other recognizable national retail customers include Dick’s Sporting Goods, Fred Meyer, Gucci, Balenciaga, Lane Bryant, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Lowe’s Home Improvement.
