Reno is now home to Code Ninjas, the world’s largest and fastest-growing kids coding franchise.

At Code Ninjas, kids learn to code while building their own video games. They gain problem solving, critical thinking, and STEM skills in a fun, safe, and inspiring environment.

Owned and operated by University of Nevada, Reno Alums, Christine and Eric Miller, the center uses an engaging, game-based curriculum to teach essential programming skills to children ages 7 to 14.

During each session at the ‘dojo,’ the student ‘ninjas’ work their way from white belt to black belt, starting with the basics and moving at their own pace through different platforms.

"The past few years have been hard on everyone – including, and perhaps even more so, on our children.
Due to the pandemic, many kids are experiencing a slump when it comes to their level of social engagement, usual interests, and their studies," Christine Miller said. "We saw the need for a space that would allow kids to reconnect with their creativity while boosting their confidence and building community with their peers.”

Everything at Code Ninjas is centered around fun, but it also provides the results that parents are looking for, their children gaining coding and problem-solving skills that will benefit them for years to come.
Designed as an after-school learning center, Code Ninjas is open Monday-Friday from 3-7 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Code Ninjas Reno currently offers flexible coding programs for kids with convenient drop-in hours on weeknights and weekends.

They will soon be offering summer camps, programs for children ages 5-7, parents’ night out and birthday parties.
