The City of Reno has received the SolSmart Silver designation from SolSmart.
The designation makes it making it faster, easier and more affordable for homes and businesses to go solar.
Individuals and business owners who are interested in pursuing a solar project are encouraged to visit www.reno.gov/community/sustainability/going-solar
To receive the designation, cities and counties evaluate and make changes to their local processes to reduce the time and money it takes to install a solar energy system.
