Northern Nevada HOPES recently announced the addition of three new members of the nonprofit health center’s team: General Counsel David Gamble Jr. Esq, Director of Human Resources Megan Barrenchea, MBA, SHRM-SCP, and Director of Pharmacy Tida Watkins, Pharm D.
“David, Megan and Tida will play instrumental roles as we look to expand programs to provide more medical and wellness services to our community’s most marginalized individuals and families,” said Sharon Chamberlain, Chief Executive Officer at Northern Nevada HOPES.
As General Counsel and Director of Compliance & Risk Management, Gamble will be responsible for the development, implementation, oversight and evaluation of all aspects of the Northern Nevada HOPES’ (HOPES) risk management & compliance program in addition to the duties of General Counsel.
Gamble worked as a Washoe County public defender for the last six years prior to joining HOPES. His career has primarily been a mix of government and non-profit work including his roles as staff attorney for both the Social Security Administration in Washington DC and the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges.
As the Human Resources Director, Barrenchea will be responsible for leading the department with strategic vision and embracing progressive HR practices to help support our operations and day-to-day activities.
Megan Barrenchea
Before joining HOPES, Barrenchea was the human resources director for the Nevada Humane Society for nearly four years. At the Nevada Humane Society, Barrenchea oversaw all aspects of HR and established policies to increase retention rates, foster employee job satisfaction, and high morale.
As the Pharmacy Director, Watkins will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, and management of the pharmacy while promoting effective drug therapy for our underserved community members.
Tida Watkins
Watkins has been a pharmacist for 15 years and came to HOPES as a per-diem pharmacists in February 2021. Before joining HOPES, Watkins was the pharmacy team leader at Raley’s pharmacy for eight years and one of the top immunizing stores in the chain.
