The Northern Nevada Development Authority has named Jeff Sutich as its new executive director.
Sutich has been an economic development and trade expert for the last 11 years.
Before that he was the economist for Nevada’s Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation and global trade business adviser at the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. He also handled international economic development for the state Agriculture Department.
He replaces Rob Hooper, who retired.
Greg Dye, chairman of NNDA’s executive board, said Sutich is a sixth generation Nevadan with a proven track record in economic development.
“Jeff will solidify our commitment to the residents and employers of the Sierra Region,” Dye said in a news release.
He has a master’s degree in business administration from UNR.
