Lewis Roca recently selected Nicole Scott of Reno to join the firm’s partnership effective Jan. 1. In all, the firm welcomed 14 new lawyers as partners throughout its offices in Reno, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Denver and Los Angeles.
As a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, Scott focuses her practice within the alcohol beverage industry, assisting clients with licensing and regulatory matters related to business and liquor licensing for cities and municipalities throughout Nevada, according to a Jan. 10 press release.
Scott has experience appearing before the Nevada Department of Taxation, the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development, the Nevada Governor’s Office of Energy, and the Nevada Transportation Authority.
Prior to joining Lewis Roca, Scott served as a law clerk for the Honorable Chief Justice Hardesty at the Nevada Supreme Court. She was recognized in the “Ones to Watch” category in the area of commercial litigation by The Best Lawyers in America 2022 and named a Mountain States Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in business litigation in 2021.
Scott received her J.D. from the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law; her M.A. from the University of Nevada, Reno; her M.B.A. from Hawaii Pacific University; and her B.S.B.A. from UNR.
