Hey y’all! The long-awaited Nashville Social Club is now open for business.

Local owners Kitty McKay and John Procaccini had wanted to open months earlier; however, as with any remodel, there was so much to do in the building they leased to make it the special place they envisioned for their customers that the opening had to be delayed.

To assure the all- important kitchen crew, new servers, and management were ready for what the owners hope will be the new “in place” in Carson City, a limited soft opening was conducted over the past weekend to work out any possible issues.

Early subscribers to the Nashville Social Club eblast list have been following the progression of the remodel for months and had the opportunity to reserve a seat on a first-come, first serve basis to enjoy a meal and give management feedback on whatever needed to be fine-tuned before the official opening. McKay writes, “Five-star reviews are already rolling in from our soft opening weekend. Folks are saying the Nashville Social Club has excellent food, friendly, professional staff, and the coolest atmosphere in town.

As the organizer of the “official Chamber ribbon cutting” event, I had the opportunity to             enjoy the taste of some glorious offerings following the ribbon cutting and loved having the opportunity to try some great southern foods not found in our area. It’s nice to have another “ethnic” restaurant in our city.

For those who love comfort foods, there’s quite the selection to tempt the palate. There’s the famous Southern Fried Chicken — and waffles too. The variety of thin crust pizza has special toppings not usually on a menu — the wild-smoked salmon pizza was amazing. Oh my, try the Social-Style “Sexy fries! The Southern biscuits come with home churned butter, honey made by area bees, and freshly made peach jam. Yes, there’s creamy, cheesy grits – with shrimp. Ever had Chocolate Whoopie Pie? That’s not something you’ll see on any other menu around! Yum! Gluten-free options are available.

The completely remodeled space has what McKay calls the “New Nashville feel.” The bar area features comfy conversation areas. There are two dining areas: one warmed by the natural sun (but air conditioned) in a patio setting and the other inside featuring comfortable seating and dark woods. It will be easy in the main dining area for all to see the featured talent which will be a main feature of the Club. Foodies may think all the talent needed is what is prepared in the open kitchen where there is “plenty of lovin’ from the oven.”

The Swan music hall will soon feature some great entertainment. This beautifully appointed room is upscale yet cozy featuring a beautiful stage and will make you feel as though you have truly stepped out on the town.

Though there have been some challenges in opening this newest Carson City eatery and entertainment venue, McKay is looking ahead stating, “The enthusiasm, support, and excitement of our community has been so, so uplifting. For the last 12 months we’ve poured our hearts into every atom of this place and the way our food, vibe and hospitality has been received during our soft opening was beyond our dreams. We are thrilled and honored to be sharing the spirit of music city with the coolest people on the planet. We love you Northern Nevada!”

Open Wednesday-Saturday 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and features a Sinners and Saints Sunday Brunch beginning at 10 a.m. To receive the latest information, sign up for their eblast by sending a note to info@thenashvilleclub.com. Phone: 775-515-0020.

“Love all, y’all” is the prayer printed over the kitchen. and we know that you will, indeed, love all y’all!
