The Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce is set to host a job fair on June 15, at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, the third such event in 18 months.
Last June, the Chamber’s job fair included more than 100 Chamber member businesses and a few hundred job seekers. Many of those businesses, nonprofits, and public entities are committed to return, including Cintas, News 4-Fox 11-Nevada Sports Net, the Washoe County School District, City of Reno, New West Distributing, Northern Nevada Medical Center, Uline, Keolis, Local Food Group, and more.
All job seekers in the general public are welcome to attend for free and can expect opportunities to apply for multiple positions, with some companies conducting interviews and hiring on-the-spot. Professional attire and printed resumes are recommended.
Reno+Sparks Chamber Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ann Silver hopes the Job Fair will bolster continued economic recovery in the region, noting how urgent the need remains for vacant positions to be filled.
“Businesses throughout the community are in dire need of ready-to-work individuals for full or part-time jobs. Our economy can’t sustain itself without those willing to learn, work, and pursue careers,” Silver said.
