Dolores Ward Cox, M.S., has been named the new executive director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Nevada, Reno.
Ward Cox has been with the university since 2005, most recently serving as the education coordinator for the Nevada Geriatric Education Center. Both NGEC and OLLI are part of the Sanford Center for Aging at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology and audiology, a certificate in gerontology and a master’s degree in human development and family studies, all from the University of Nevada, Reno. As OLLIs executive director, Ward Cox will be responsible for the program’s strategic management, operations, budgets, development, community outreach, member recruitment, volunteer support and staff supervision.
