The Reno Phil announced Kylie Howard has been selected as the new director of education, community engagement, and inclusion.
In her new position, she will focus on the Reno Phil’s education programs, building community relationships, and fostering an inclusive environment.
Howard graduated from the University of Utah in 2018 with a degree in music performance. She has since pursued her master’s in arts administration at the University of Southern Utah and is on track to graduate in August 2024.
Howard’s dedication to cultural advocacy blossomed during her undergraduate years when she participated in the National Arts Advocacy with the Utah delegation. This experience ignited her passion for championing music education and its numerous benefits for students, ranging from academic and social skills to emotional well-being.
Motivated by her experience, she joined the Utah Cultural Alliance and held positions as program manager and operations director.
In these roles, she played a key role in collecting data, organizing advocacy events, facilitating capacity-building workshops, and fostering networking opportunities for cultural organizations across Utah.
