A ribbon cutting and employee open house unveiled the new units last month. The state-of-the-art facilities reflect Renown’s ongoing commitment to exceptional patient care close to home and innovative medical advancements, while also increasing patient capacity.

Features of the NICU/PICU on Tahoe 5 include increased capacity, private patient and family rooms, a bassinet pod system that offers additional space for family and loved ones, reading nooks, shadow puppet corners and large projected shapes in the elevator lobby, bright and engaging colors, as well as art that is child-friendly, staff spaces both for individuals and groups, including a staff lounge, better acoustics, sit-stand desks, and upgraded technologies.
