Alston Construction announced Moeses Chavez has been hired as project engineer for the company.
As project engineer, Chavez is responsible for schedule preparation, pre-planning, and resource forecasting for engineering and other construction project activities. Chavez will also oversee subcontractor performance and ensure projects are completed to the plans and specifications. During his internship at Alston, prior to joining the team as project engineer, he has worked on over 1.5 million square feet, including two speculative buildings at the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center in McCarran, as well as Red Rock 136 in Reno.
Prior to joining Alston, Chavez honed his skills at Pinnacle Grinding and Grooving, where he gained experience in drafting proposals, tracking job costs, and supporting senior project managers.
Chavez received his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno.
