PBS Reno has hired Tim Lenard for the role of production media technician.
Lenard has several years of production experience in a freelance capacity, having filmed and engineered audio for the PBS Reno production Wild Nevada and filming documentary and promotional videos from conception to finished product.
Lenard most recently served as visual content editor for The Nevada Independent, where he coordinated visual elements for website and social media channels.
Before earning his Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2018, Lenard served four years in the U.S. Army as a sergeant and fire team leader with an infantry platoon based in Italy that included two deployments to Afghanistan.
As production media technician, Lenard will work with PBS Reno content creators on the station’s numerous production projects, including but not limited to Wild Nevada, ARTEFFECTS, STEM Works, and other award-earning productions; the annual PBS Reno Spotlight Awards & Auction and other fundraising opportunities for the station, and a variety of educational content including the PBS Reno Writers Contest, JOYful Moments, FoodNotes and more.
