Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada announced Annie Allen has been promoted to chief operating officer after serving as the organization's Director of Immigration Legal Services for the past six and a half years.
Allen holds full accreditation through the Department of Justice’s Recognition & Accreditation Program. With this accreditation, she has represented hundreds of clients before the Department of Homeland Security and the Executive Office for Immigration Review, while also managing a legal team of six other accredited representatives.
Allen attended the University of Nevada, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in international affairs and Spanish, and a Master of Arts in foreign language and literature (Spanish).
Allen's nonprofit experience spans nearly 10 years. She began her career in Baton Rouge, working with Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge in the Refugee and Immigration Services Department, eventually becoming the department director.
