The Reno Housing Authority hosted a grand opening of Dick Scott Manor, providing 12 brand new units of permanent supportive housing for low-income, extremely low income and/or homeless military veterans earlier this month.

This is the first affordable housing complex opening in Nevada using money awarded to the organization through the State of Nevada Home Means Nevada Initiative and State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds provided by the city of Reno.

This project is also funded in part by The Home Depot Foundation, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and RHA. The land for this project was also donated by the city of Reno.

RHA will provide rental subsidies to residents through project-based Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing vouchers with case management provided by the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System. Other supportive services will also be provided by RHA.
