REMSA Health has promoted Todd Kerfoot to director of emergency medical services operations.

Since joining REMSA Health in 1999, Kerfoot has held a variety of leadership positions including senior manager of EMS operations, special operations and safety manager, EMS supervisor and tactical EMS (TEMS) team commander.

In his role as director of EMS operations, he is responsible for the efficient delivery of high-quality, out-of-hospital healthcare by all ground operations and special operations employees.

He previously served on several task forces in collaboration with law enforcement and fire agencies. He has developed TEMS courses to educate tactical medics in providing care for law enforcement, and a medical training course for law enforcement officers.

In 2014, Kerfoot was recognized as the National EMT Public Servant of the Year by the Veterans of Foreign War. REMSA Health presented him with the Meritorious Service Award in 2013 for his role in responding to active shooter incidents that occurred that year.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix. He currently serves as a board member for the Trauma Intervention Program of Northern Nevada. He previously served as a board member for the International Public Safety Association.
