PBS Reno has welcomed Casilde A. Isabelli, Ph.D. to the PBS Reno Board of Trustees.

Isabelli currently serves as interim dean of the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Isabelli will take over the PBS Reno Board of Trustees position most recently held by Dr. Greg Mosier, Dean of the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno.

The 2024 PBS Reno Board of Trustees also includes Will Arndt, Dr. Bayo Curry-Winchell, David Dehls, Christine Fey (Chair), Mercedes de la Garza, Lori Gilbert, Mark Herron, Dr. Karin Hilgersom, Katy Simon Holland, Bradley Johnson, Nathan Kanute, Thomas Karlo, Donald Kowitz (Treasurer), Sara Lafrance (Vice Chair), Kurt Mische, Stacey Montooth (Secretary), Mark Newman, Terry Oliver, Michael Rooker, Floyd Rowley, Tom Taelour, and Sue Wagner.

Isabelli (Ph.D. Spanish Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition and Teaching, 2001, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign) is a professor of Spanish linguistics in the Department of World Languages and Literatures and is currently serving her second year as interim dean of the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Nevada, Reno. Prior to joining the university, she studied abroad as an undergraduate student in Mexico City and as a graduate student to Barcelona, taught for a year at the University of Minnesota as a lecturer, and as a visiting professor for the Spanish MA program at Sonoma State University.

Isabelli, born and raised in northern Illinois to Italian immigrants, travelled frequently to Italy to reconnect with her extended family, where she met and married her husband, Giuseppe. Both moved to Reno in 2000 and have made it their home. They have three daughters, the two youngest attending public schools in Reno and the oldest is a freshman at UNR.
