Broadbent & Associates, Inc. has announced the expansion of their cultural resources team with the hire of senior architectural historian, Courtney Mooney, who will be responsible for managing historic preservation projects.
Mooney joined Broadbent from North Wind Resource Consulting, LLC, where most recently she prepared a successful National Register of Historic Places registration form for the Gem Theater in Pioche.
Mooney has a master’s degree in historic preservation from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
In addition to being a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, she sits on several boards including the Nevada State Board of Museums and History, Friends of Gem Theater, the Western Chapter of the Association for Preservation Technology, and the City of Mesa Historic Preservation Board.
Mooney specializes in historic vernacular, utilitarian architecture and infrastructure, and early-to mid-19th century public monuments.
