People: Ben Kieckhefer launches BRK Nevada

Former state senator and gubernatorial chief of staff Ben Kieckhefer has launched BRK Nevada, LLC.

With more than 20 years of experience working in and around government in Nevada, Kieckhefer will fold together communications and government relations strategies to ensure the right messages are delivered to the right people to ensure success.

Most recently working as chief of staff for Gov. Joe Lombardo during his first year in office, Kieckhefer has extensive experience inside Nevada state government.

He also served as a member of the Nevada Gaming Commission, where he was a regulator overseeing Nevada’s largest industry. Additionally, Kieckhefer was elected three times to the Nevada Senate, where he served more than 11 years.

Prior to serving in public office, Kieckhefer served as communications director for Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons and as public information officer for the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services.

With a master’s degree in journalism, Kieckhefer was originally a reporter covering state government and politics, including the Nevada Legislature and Reno City Hall.
