Shoe Tree Brewing recently won silver medals at two of the most respected beer competitions globally.

Wicked Shifty, an innovative American Sour, was recognized for its tart yet balanced profile, showcasing a bright citrus zest with underlying notes of tropical fruit, at the 2024 Great American Beer Festival. This award highlights the brewery's skill in crafting complex yet approachable sours.

Earlier in the year, Lahontan Brown Ale, named after the ancient lake, that once covered much of Nevada, was honored with a silver medal at the World Beer Cup.

Known for its smooth, malty character with hints of chocolate and roasted nuts, this ale has resonated with beer enthusiasts and judges alike for its rich flavor profile.

Thanks to a panel of 285 professional judges from around the world and over 250 volunteers, the Great American Beer Festival competition analyzed 9,216 entries over two phases and seven days.

The competition saw entries from 1,869 breweries and cideries from all 50 states plus Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico.

The medals were unveiled during a ceremony at the Bellco Theatre in Denver on Oct.12 as part of the Great American Beer Festival.
