Plumas Bank has announced the winners of its “Community Pride” photo contest.

Participants, located in the 10 Northern Nevada and California communities in which Plumas Bank serves, submitted photos from June to July.

The contest asked for pictures of scenic landscapes, local main streets, and countryside landmarks that capture the surrounding atmosphere of Plumas Bank’s locations. Winners were selected with input from a guest panel consisting of judges in the professional arts, accompanied by open voting for a “People’s Choice” award.

Alongside gaining public appreciation, the contest’s top three winners and the “People’s Choice” winner also receive cash prizes. The following photos and winners for this year’s contest include:

• First place: Rainbow Road in Butte County by Jake Edwards

• Second place: Discing in the Field in Modoc County by Robin Juliana

• Third place: Sunset Over Whiskeytown Lake in Shasta County by John Walker

• People’s choice: Light in the Night Sky in Plumas County by Jake Edwards

The panel of guest judges consisted of professional artists and art leaders in the community including Pat Macias, Tony Manfredi, Christopher Rouse Islas Hernandez, Tracey Oliver, Erik Burke and Dylan Tellesen.

The winning photos and additional selections from all the submissions will be on digital display at Plumas Bank’s branches, ATMs, website and social media.
