Kidder Mathews’ welcomes Edward Castro as general counsel.

In this role, he will serve as the chief legal adviser for the company — including brokerage, asset services, and valuation advisory divisions across the firm’s 19 locations in Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada and Arizona.

Castro is a seasoned corporate attorney with over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate law. He will advise and represent Kidder Mathews on a range of legal matters including research, analysis, regulations, corporate governance, licensing, litigation and compliance across multiple state jurisdictions.

His expertise spans a broad range of commercial and real estate law, aligning with the comprehensive services offered by Kidder Mathews.

Before joining Kidder Mathews, Castro spent 24 years at Cushman and Wakefield, where he served as global associate general counsel for the firm’s brokerage, valuations, consulting, and capital markets divisions.

He holds a Juris Doctorate and master’s in economics from the University of Southern California, Bachelor of Arts degrees in economics and psychology from the University of California, Irvine, and an Executive Leadership certificate from the Harvard Business School.
