Western Environmental Testing Laboratory announces the new role of Jacob Brotman to chromatography lead.
In his new role, Brotman will be responsible for acting as the lead mentor for the chromatography team. As the lead, he will manage the team to ensure that all state compliance needs are met.
His duties will include conducting regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions as well as conducting annual performance reviews. He will assign and prioritize tasks based on daily production goals and deadlines. Brotman will continue to participate in on-going leadership training.
Brotman has 10 years of experience in laboratory testing and was previously WETLABs chromatography scientist 1. In his previous role, Brotman was responsible for Volatile Organic Compound drinking and wastewater analysis by EPA 524.2 and 8260.
He was also responsible for instrument tuning and calibration, standard preparation, data analysis and review, method review and revision, daily record keeping, compliance reviews and standard operating procedure revisions.
