A Printed Circuit Board (PCB) is the backbone of just about every electronic device you use. We’re talking smartphones, laptops, TVs… even medical equipment.
Think of a PCB as the nervous system of an electronic device. And, unless you’re using a “brick” mobile phone, or a “suitcase” laptop – chances are the modern gadget you’re holding has a PCB inside making everything work.
For more than two years, a Reno manufacturer has been providing solutions for companies looking to scale; whether that be from design-to-end-product, or mass-producing PCBs for specified needs: Valley Services Electronics (VSE).
Let’s start at the beginning.
Like many other Silicon Valley success stories, VSE began in its founder’s garage more than 40-years ago. What has kept the private company successful for more than four decades? Providing something unique: hands-on, accessible engineering and manufacturing.
VSE needed to expand – creating a Reno manufacturing location in late 2022. The Reno facility is engineered to scale production efficiently, accommodating the growth trajectories of various designs. This scalability ensures that as client demands increase, the facility can seamlessly adjust to meet higher production volumes without compromising quality or timelines.
Ask current CEO Beth Kendrick what sets VSE apart, and she points to the customer service.
VSE works with innovators to bring ideas to life with a specialty in bringing new products to market. Whether that be at-home inventors, or multibillion-dollar companies that are innovating new products.
There’s a benefit to local manufacturing. Partners are welcomed into the VSE factories. An innovator can see every iteration of their product’s design-build. By handling all facets of production in-house, VSE minimizes potential communication gaps and ensures a cohesive manufacturing workflow.
There are also compelling reasons why someone would choose a domestic U.S.-based PCB manufacturer over an overseas option. To name a few: higher quality standards, faster turnaround times, better communication and collaboration, intellectual property (IP) protection, supporting the U.S. economy and providing American jobs, and many more.
The most rewarding part for VSE employees, is seeing a product become a reality.
You have the opportunity to see VSE manufacturing in action by attending NCET Tech Wednesday on March 12th.
During your visit, you will see and hear about:
• Moving from proof of concept to prototype to mass production
• The industries supported by VSE (semiconductor, medical, automotive, industrial equipment, telecommunications, biotech, clean tech, energy, aerospace)
• The layers of a circuit board and the assembly, inspection and test process
… much more!
Sign up early for the VSE Reno presentation from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and networking from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
