Robin Mercer, Ben Kieckhefer and Chris Howard have been named to the board of directors of the Nevada Humane Society.
Kieckhefer, a Nevada state senator representing the Washoe 4 District, is the communications director for the law firm of McDonald Carano Wilson LLP.
Mercer, former owner of the Heart of Reno and Starlite wedding chapels, is a consultant and former fundraiser for Gov. Jim Gibbons and Sen. John Ensign.
Howard is chief executive officer and principal of NorthStar Investors in Reno.
